The Red Oak City Council is Here to Serve You. The City of Red Oak is a Home Rule city subject to the State of Texas laws, rules and regulations. The City Council is elected at-large representing all residents within the City limits. The council members, including the mayor, serve staggered three-year terms. The mayor pro tem is selected by the council members each year no later than the month of July.

Meetings


The City Council meets the second Monday of every month in the council chambers of the Red Oak Municipal Center, 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas 75154. When needed, City Council will hold special meetings, workshops, and public hearings, in addition to the regular City Council meetings.

  • City Council Meetings During COVID-19: Please be advised that pursuant to the Governor's Executive Order, and to ensure the health and safety of the public by limiting human contact that could spread the COVID-19 virus, the Council Chambers will not be open for the Town Council meeting's at this time. Council Members will be participating via ZOOM and will not be physically present in the Council Chambers.

Agendas


Meeting agendas are posted 72 hours in advance on the City Hall bulletin board. The City Hall bulletin board is our official posting place and is located outside the main entrance to the Red Oak Municipal Center Building located at 200 Lakeview Parkway, Red Oak, Texas 75154.

Citizen Comments Form


We welcome citizen participation in our public meetings and want to ensure you have a voice.   The Citizen Meetings Form will send an electronic message to us in the form of an email and can be used for City Council, Planning and Zoning, or other public meetings.  All must be completed by 5pm on the date of the meeting.
